Passion for learning and teaching that goes beyond the classroom
Wlodek possesses a passion for learning and teaching that goes beyond the classroom. As an engineer, he has a proven track record for his ability to deliver high quality, relevant software. As a teacher, he is highly effective at taking concepts and demonstrating them to the engineering community so they can apply the concepts in the real world. His thoughtfullness of approach and his willingness to listen and respond to feedback provided the basis of an extremely successful line up of offering that took the concepts of refactoring and TDD to another level.
Wlodzimierz went above and beyond by applying non-engineering concepts such as Stephen Covey, to highly technical applications and approaches. It was very effective and his learners consistently demonstrated they saw value and quality in his courses by asking for others to be able to take the classes, or asking for additional learning themselves.
As his leader, I was very pleased to see his ablity to respond to feedback, and while initially during some major change initiatives he was concerned about the direction – he demonstrated a key behavior – he asked good solid questions, provided input and then agreed to try something a bit different. He is an assest to a learning group or to an engineering team due to his flexibility.
